Christmas Quote #11 – Dave Barry
In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the Christians called it ‘Christmas’ and went to church; the Jews called it ‘Hanukkah’ and went to synagogue; the atheists went to parties and drank. People passing each other on the street would say ‘Merry Christmas!’ or ‘Happy Hanukkah!’ or (to the atheists) ‘Look out for the wall!’

Love it. I remember that. I want to bring it back, starting with me.

Merry Christmas To you !!
Or should I say “Marry Christmas” LOL
On facebook, I notice that’s how an adult male typed. Mary was the mother of the baby Jesus but we are talking about merriment. Hugs.

Then again, “marry” with two R’s means a getting wed. Maybe he wants to live with Christmas for the rest of his life. Could be worse.

I make so many typos when writing, I try assume that’s what others have done. Unless they do it over and over, and then I assume they just don’t know how to spell. 😉 In the meantime, much merriment to you, indeed. I’m surrounded by Christmas here, with all my trees trimmed, except the little one Tabitha will do when she gets here on the 20th. Carols are playing all day long. I’m happy.
