Bookin' It

So Many Books. So Little Time. Let's Review!

About/Privacy & GDPR Compliance

books5

I love books.  LOVE THEM!  I always have.  I started reading when I was 4 years old, many, many years ago, and I’ve never stopped.  In fact, my passion for books has gotten stronger and stronger.  I enjoy many different genres, though I confess that I’ve been really hitting the Urban Fantasy shelves lately, since there is currently a glut of  books out there featuring things that go bump in the night.  Believe me, it wasn’t always so.  For decades there wasn’t a vampire, werewolf,  or fairy to be found.  And soon enough,  all those supernatural characters you see on every other book cover today will fly, crawl, slink or slither their way back into obscurity again.  Why not take advantage of the craze while it lasts?  That’s MY plan, anyway.

That being said, I will not be limiting my reviews and discussions to Urban Fantasy.  I plan to cover many other genres, plus cover art, release dates, author information, and recommendations.  Hopefully, this will turn into a fun place to hang out and share thoughts on all our favorite books. My only rule is No Politics, please.  This blog is meant to be an escape from the Real World.  Play nice, and have fun!!

Happy Reading!

  1. I love books too, to much to be able to describe the feeling I have when I read a good book, all those emotions that keep me alive. It is for this reason that I’ve decided to be a writer, since an early age I knew all I wanted to do in life is to instill emotions and thoughts through words. Your blog is very interesting and useful, compliments! I cannot wait to read all your reviews!

  2. Hi, “Be!” Nice to meet you! I’m happy to hear that you are planning to pursue your dream of being a writer, and I wish you all the luck in the world. Don’t let anyone change your mind. I know from my own experience that it is easy to fall for the old “don’t be silly…do something practical with your life” routine. And before you know it, you are a SENIOR CITIZEN(ack!) and you still haven’t done the one thing you wanted to do above all else. So, never give up!

Hope to see you visiting here often. You never know what I might be blogging about. And please respond any time you like, even if you disagree with my take on a book or other subject matter. I love to hear from readers!

    Have a great evening!

    • Well, I did it, Marjma, so you can, too! Just never give up!! Were you able to get your book to download? My guy in Romania was, and has won another one, as well. I’m hoping you did, too. If not, get back to me, and let’s see if we can work it out for you.

  9. Hi Marcia 🙂 Just wanted to quickly let you know that I named you in my recent blog award post. No pressure at all to take part or accept (I know the award thing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea), it was just my way of saying keep doing what you’re doing 😉

    • Hi, Cathy! Happy to be following you now, and I appreciate your stopping by here. I’m afraid I’m way behind on this blog right now, as my writing and my Writers Blog, The Write Stuff, have sort of taken over my life. Hope you’ll check that blog out, as it’s a much busier place. (Though I do hope to get back to Bookin’ It, too.) The link to The Write Stuff is: https://marciamearawrites.com/ Check it out when you can, and I’ll be exploring on your blog, as well. 🙂

  16. Thanks for stopping by, Debby. You might notice, I’ve been VERY bad about this blog. After several years of devoting lots of time to book reviews, I started writing myself, and now I’ve neglected this one. I do have a VERY active blog for writers called The Write Stuff. Would love to have you visit there. Meanwhile . . . see what I did there? . . . I’ll try to get this blog caught up once again. 😀 Come see us over at The Write Stuff: http://marciamearawrites.com You’ll probably see some familiar faces there, like Deborah Jay. 🙂

  18. Thank you, Kev. I’ll be working on updating this blog over the next few weeks, trying to get back into the habit of reviewing books I enjoy. Look for new posts on Tuesdays. That’s my plan, if all goes well. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
