E-readers: E-ink vs Back-lit
Wondering what the difference is between an e-reader that is back-lit and one that uses e-ink technology? Check out Sharechair’s very simple explanation here:
The difference, by the way, is huge, and can impact how much you enjoy reading e-books. I know for myself that back-lit screens look great, but I can’t read an entire book on a back-lit screen without extreme eye discomfort. It’s lovely. Just like reading a print book with a lamp shining on the page.
