Update on Release of The Collector’s Treasure

CollectorsTreasure_CVR_XSML

Just wanted to let you guys know that shortly after Nick Taylor and Alisha Payne’s book, The Collector’s Treasure, went live on amazon, some sort of technical glitch popped up making it impossible to download the ebook or order the paperback. They are in contact with amazon and the paperback is now available again, but the eBook download is still not working. If you were hoping to read this (like me!), hang in there. Surely amazon will sort it out soon, and all will be well. (Good luck, Nick & Alisha!)

New Release Alert!

CollectorsTreasure_CVR_XSML

My friends Nick Taylor and Alisha Payne have just released their newest book, The Collector’s Treasure, synopsis below. Some of you may remember Nick and Alisha were featured in a Wednesday Author’s Interview a few weeks back, and I asked them to keep us posted on their upcoming releases. Hope you’ll check this out. I think the cover is great, and the book sounds like fun, and it can be read as a stand-alone, too. I’m adding it to my list! (Nick says to advise you it’s an adults only novel.) Read more…

Feel Like Helping Out?

CollectorsTreasure_CVR_XSML

My friends Nick Taylor and Alisha Payne are running a Kickstarter campaign to help get their third novel, The Collector’s Treasure, off the ground. They are hoping to earn enough money to cover editing expenses to make this book the best one, yet. Pledges start as low as $1.00, and each level entitles you to goodies when the book comes out. Wednesday Author Interview: Nick Taylor & Alisha Payne

The Regent’s Gamble
by Alisha Payne & Nick Taylor

Today, I’d like to welcome the writing team of Alisha Payne and Nick Taylor, two creative ladies who have joined forces to write some very intriguing Urban Fantasy. Welcome to Bookin’ It, Ladies!

BI: Nick & Alisha, can you tell us a bit about how you became a writer. When did you decide that’s what you wanted to be, and what steps did you take to prepare for a writing career?

N&A: Becoming writers wasn’t exactly planned. It just sort of happened. We both tended to write stories of the fan fiction variety when we were growing up and then met each other through an online roleplay chat room. Oh yes, we are total nerds by the way. We started to write our own little story lines then realized that, “Hey, we could make this a book.” So we did. It took lots of work, a miraculously successful Kickstarter campaign, and the support of good friends and family.

BI: It’s always great when things come together like that, and give new writers a chance to be successful at making their dream come true. Were either of you you inspired by any particular authors, past or present, and what is it about their work that impresses you, or moves you? Read more…

Meet My Main Character Blog Tour

DSCN1991

Last week, I was invited by author Stella Tarakson to take part in a new blog tour, this one focusing on a main character from one of our books. Stella writes books for children and young adults, and lives Down Under, so I’m always confused about what day it is when I’m talking to her. (No big deal. I spend half of my life confused about one thing or the other.) But no matter what day of the week it is where Stella lives, I’m very happy to participate in this fun blog tour. Thank you so much, Stella, for thinking of me.

If you go HERE,  you can read Stella’s “Meet My Main Character” blog tour post. Check out the rest of her blog while you’re there. It’s a nice place to visit.

And now for my answers to the Meet My Main Character Blog Tour questions. Read more…
