Chimes At Midnight by Seanan McGuire

My Rating: 5 of 5 Stars
and a BIG Woohoooooo!

I have been a fan of Seanan McGuire’s October Daye novels since Rosemary & Rue came out in 2009.  I don’t know of another series more jam-packed with Magic (with a capital “M”) than this one. Frost Burned by Patricia Briggs

My Rating: 3-1/2 out of 5

Let me start by saying that I think Patricia Briggs is a fine Urban Fantasy writer. I have enjoyed the Mercy Thompson series very much over the years, and the spin-off Alpha and Omega series even more. So I am sorry to have to give what would have been Read more…

Jim Butcher's Cold Days Cover

My Rating: 5 of 5 Stars

DeMille would write if he were an Urban Fantasy author instead of a long-deceased director of big-budget Hollywood spectacles from decades ago. Read more…

When I finished Ashes of Honor last night, I was dancing on the seat of the Comfy Chair, fist-pumping, and yelling “Yes, YES, YEEEESSSS!!!”  I can  guarantee that this was not a pretty sight, but what else could I do?  The book was definitely Read more…
