Bookshelf Tag!

Bo2MJnuIQAARE27

I’ve been invited to take part in two different “events” this week, and am starting with this one. (Look for the Blog Hop tomorrow.) Author Stella Tarakson has tagged me, so I’m invited to take part in Bookshelf Tag. Thanks for thinking of me, Stella. I always enjoy these things, for some reason. Here are the rules for Bookshelf Tag:

“Answer the following questions about books on your bookshelf and then tag five other bloggers. You can answer the questions any way you want, whether it’s on your blog, in a video, or a combination of the two. Then remember to let whoever tagged you know when your post is up so they can read it.”

1. Is there a book that you really want to read but haven’t because you know that it’ll make you cry? Read more…

Reminder: #mywriting process Blog Tour is Coming!

“Yoooo-hoooooo! Blog Tour Comin’!”

Be sure to stop by Friday, when I’ll be taking part in the #mywritingprocess Blog Tour. I’m really looking forward to joining the tour, answering the questions presented to me, and introducing three authors I’ve invited. They will be posting their comments next week, and I will provide the links, so you can go visit them on their own blogs. A great chance to meet some authors who might be new to you. And it’s amazing to read how different each author approaches his or her writing. I’ve really enjoyed the posts of others participating in the tour, and I’m sure you will, too.

That’s this Friday, 5/9. The post will remain up indefinitely, though, so even if you can’t check it out on Friday, you’ll still be able to read it in the days ahead. And you will be able to ask questions in the comments section, if you wish.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Bookin’ It News!

My Dancing Ladies orchid is blooming! No, that’s not really the news I want to talk about, but I’d figured I’d share it, too, just because it’s so beautiful this year. I couldn’t resist.

But what I really want to talk about is the direction this blog it about to take. Yes, I am still going to do book reviews, but due to the fact that writing has taken over such a large portion of my life, I don’t get to read quite as many books as I used to. So I’m planning to branch out a bit, just to give you guys some new and interesting things to look forward to, when I don’t have reviews to offer.

For instance, tomorrow, I will be doing a review combined with a week-long give-away. Those of you who enjoy YA urban fantasy will be interested to know that Aimee Easterling, author of Shiftless, will be giving away a signed copy of her book. We will be having a drawing, and you can enter all week long. I’ve read the book, and enjoyed it very much. Read more about my take on it tomorrow.

I also plan to do some author interviews. I really enjoy reading them, myself, and hope you will, as well.  My first one will feature Anna Celeste Burke, author of A Dead Husband. You mystery lovers will enjoy the book, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading Anna Celeste’s interview. You will be able to ask questions in the comments section, too.

And finally, I plan to take part in as many blog tours as I can, both for my own books and writing, and those of others that I can promote. On Friday, May 9, I will be taking part in the My Writing Process blog tour, and I’m looking forward to it very much. Not only will I have a chance to answer some questions on how I write, but I’ll be posting links and bios on three authors who will also be taking part in the tour. Please be sure to join us for that. I know you will learn about some authors you will really enjoy.

If you know anyone who would like to give me an author interview for a future post, please let me know. I’ll be happy to do what I can to set it up. And if you are running a blog tour, yourself, I’d love to join it, if I may.

So…interesting things afoot at Bookin’ It. Hope you’ll have fun checking out all the upcoming events.
