Sunday’s Blog of the Week: Caitlin Stern Writes

Caitlin Stern is my good friend and my editor, as well, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be objective about her blog. I can be, and I am, and it’s a very nice place to visit. She posts various regular features throughout the week, such as Top Ten Tuesdays, and Weekend Writing Warriors, and these are always fun to check out. She also shares her thoughts on a variety of topics related to books and writing, and these are thought-provoking topics as well. But the best thing about Caitlin’s blog for me are the days when she shares a new poem.

Caitlin is a gifted poet whose observations can be touching and profound, or light-hearted and amusing. Or sometimes, a combination of both. No matter the mood of the poem, it is sure to speak to something in your soul. If you love poetry, as I do, I highly recommend checking out her blog. And even if you don’t, the other posts are certain to pull you in. I’m especially fond of her participation in Top Ten Tuesdays. One of these days I’m actually going to sign on to take part in that, myself, but until then, it’s always a treat to see how Caitlin tackles each week’s subject.

Stop by to see what’s happening at Caitlin Stern Writes, and be sure to tell her I said hello! You’ll enjoy yourself there.

  1. Thanks for posting Marcia–glad to find out about Caitlin Stern. Cheers! Celeste

    • Happy to share her blog with all my friends and followers, Celeste. She’s a real sharp cookie, and a nice gal, too. Hope you get a chance to take a look around her pages. Thanks for stopping by today, too. I’ve been out most of the time since Friday, so I’m playing catch up with stuff. Tomorrow is my mother’s 90th birthday, so Mark and I went over to the home today so we could both spend some time with her. We just got back, hot and tired. It’s about 97 degrees outside, and the a/c in her room isn’t working! OMG. Even SHE was feeling it, and she’s normally freezing all the time. I’m thinking of putting on ice pack on my head to cool my brain down! 😯

  2. Thanks for the intro BFF. I love to enjoy mood variances in any writing. I will take your recommendation to heart.

    Cheers, lovely lady.

    • Hi, Robyn! *waving hand like mad* Good to see you first thing on a Monday morning! Hope you do get a chance to visit Caitlin’s blog. I always find something of interest there. Have a great week! 🙂

  3. I have been told to say hello to the nice people who follow this blog.

    Hello, people! *waves* 🙂

Marcia, you must try a TTT someday. It’s so easy… you can plan ahead, the topics are on the site for months. You know you want to!

    • Uh-Oh, now they know my secret! I browbeat my friends into posting on my blog! 😯 Tsk. The jig is up. Oh, well. It got you here, anyway! Folks, wave back to Caitlin, and then head on over to take a look at her blog. You’ll enjoy it!

Oh, the TTT thing…I KNOW I want to do it. I would ENJOY doing it. And I’m GOING to do it. I just don’t know when, yet. It seems like I’m digging myself in deeper and deeper, between the writing and the blogging, and the never-ending TWEETING (I could really stand to lose that one!). My days go by in a blur, and I don’t get HALF the stuff done I plan to. But TTT is definitely on my list. I swear it. Honest. No, really…I mean it. 😀

Have a great Wodin’s Day tomorrow, Caitlin! And so glad you just suddenly realized…out of the blue…that you needed to stop by here and say hi. 😉
