Sunday’s Blogger of the Week: Blog Woman!!!

Blogger of the Week

With THREE, count ’em, THREE, exclamation points! And Blog Woman deserves every one of them. I “met” this wonderful blogger during the #mywritingprocess blog tour a couple of weeks ago, and I’m so glad I did. Her blog is just fantastic. Please stop by and check it out.Β Her current post, Songs of Small Town Mothers and Daughters, is so beautifully written, I’ll confess, it made me cry. (Don’t give that too much importance, though. Mark says I cry at K-Mart openings!) But it IS a beautiful and poignant story of perseverance and triumph. It reminds me that weΒ should never forget that every day is a new beginning, and a chance to do it all better.

Please visit Blog Woman today, and tell her I said hi! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, Ned! So glad you took a break from filling out your Author Interview Questionnaire to comment on this. (Oh, hahaha. Sometimes I crack myself up!) Seriously, I agree, Blog Woman!!! is a great blogger with many interesting observations to share. Hope you are having a super weekend! πŸ˜€ Thanks for stopping by.

      • How did you know?! πŸ™‚ Haha! It’s my son’s birthday today, so I will finish up and have the questionnaire to you tomorrow afternoon.

        Enjoy the day, Marcia! πŸ˜‰

        • Just givin’ you a hard time, Young Ned. Have a wonderful day with your son, and don’t worry. When you get it done, I’ll run it. (Sort of like “if you build it, they will come,” only…not. ) πŸ˜€ Give your son a hug from his Auntie M in Florida! (Be sure to tell him I’m your Florida Fan!)

          • Haha! No worries. I know when I’m having my chain yanked. I have an ex, remember? πŸ˜‰ Thanks so much, Marcia, and I will definitely pass along the hug from his Florida aunty πŸ˜‰

            • Wait…did you just compare me to your EX? Really, Ned? I don’t know whether to be flattered (she’s surely DECADES younger than I!) or horrified. (I read your blog!) πŸ˜€ At any rate, I’m sure by now you are having fun with your son, and I hope it’s the best day EVER for both of you! You’re a good dad, Ned Hickson! (Grannies know these things.)

  2. Oh my gosh Marcia! You dear, wonderful, supportive writing phenomenon – I am stunned, but in a good way. Well, way to make me think I am at an opening of a K-Mart – I’m kind of bawling here.
What a beautiful surprise to get on a dreary grey Sunday morning. Thank you SO much!

    • Awww. no fair crying now. There’s no crying in Blogging! (I heard that in a movie, once. Haha.) Okay, there is often crying in blogging. But none for you today. You are the honoree, and EVER SO MUCH more important than a K-Mart opening! πŸ˜€ I’m so glad you are happy to be my first ever Blogger of the Week. I meant every word, too. I don’t have a very large blog (yet), but I hope you garnered some new followers today. You deserve them.

Now blot those tears, turn on all the lights, and pretend the sun is shining outside. Play your favorite music. Read your favorite book. Enjoy your favorite people. You have touched lives with your blog, you know, and that can only be a good thing. Much love and happiness to you today, my friend!

      • Well now, I am going to go start with some of those suggestions, right after I blot away this fresh flow of waterworks you’ve just inspired. Your heart is just immense Marcia. Thank you again.

        • That’s the way to do it! Have a wonderful day, and remember to laugh as often as possible. It keeps you young, you know. (That’s my story, an’ I’m stickin’ to it!)

What an achievement hon, you even make Poppa cry over moms comp. I guess she told you mine is broke again.

    • Marcia, I just realized this comment wouldn’t make any sense to you, but this is my beloved step-dad, writing from my mother’s account. πŸ™‚

      • You know, I figured it out, mostly. πŸ™‚ At least, I figured “Poppa” was using “Mom’s” computer. So, close enough. πŸ™‚ I’m happy he posted here for you. That’s so sweet!!

        • LOL – he’s so cute. I showed them the link to your post and I’m not sure he realized this wasn’t actually my account. Well, I like that you got to see how you touched my dad’s heart too. It’s been a wonderful day, thanks to your kindness.

          • I like that he was here, too. Should we tell him? πŸ˜‰ He’s welcome back any time! Gosh, I’ll be polishing my halo if you tell me much more. I’m just really pleased that my little post made you so happy. THAT makes ME happy. πŸ˜€ I knew there was a reason I decided we were BFF’s. *grin* Have a wonderful day tomorrow. I’m going to do my best to do the same. Wonderful is better than bad, any time!
