Sneak Peek From My New Cookbook!

Geraldine Hartman, author of Haiku Reflections, has a wonderful veggie cookbook out. This post gives you a sneak peek at one of her recipes, and frankly, I think it sounds delicious!

The first volume of my new cookbook series: The Groovy Green Kitchen will be available at Amazon before the end of August! 🙂

This first book in the series features menu combos of slow-cooker main dishes paired with quick and easy side dishes.

I’m including the cover photo recipes with this post (see below) so you can give them a try now:

Moroccan Vegetable Stew with Fragrant Orange Basmati Rice.

One of my fav menus from the book; I hope you’ll love it too.

This project has been a LOT of work but so rewarding.

It’s been many years since my first cookbook:  Not Just for Vegetarianswas published and if anything, I think my love of cooking and baking has only increased. I LOVE IT ALL! And what a great feeling when a new recipe comes together and turns out great.

I’m already working on the 2nd…

  1. Thanks again Marcia! Cooking has been a passion for me for a long, long time. I’ve been a vegetarian cooking instructor, columnist and cookbook author over the years. I’m excited about this new cookbook series and I hope your readers will enjoy the first volume! Slow cookers are IMO one of the best inventions ever created. ;<)

Second volume: Simply, Super, Supper Soups is in the works and going great.

    Happy Wednesday and Happy Cooking,G

    • Well, I’m sorry to say I don’t enjoy cooking as much as you do, Geraldine, but I do love things that can be done easily in a slow cooker, so I think this book is going to be very useful to me.

Now I have to figure out why I ended up with this post in the Urban Fantasy category! Maybe because the concept of me spending time in the kitchen is just unbelievable! 😀

Going to go fix that now! And btw, I love soups. Can’t wait for Book #2.

  2. Smiles re: the category!

There’s quite a few soups in the first volume too. Hope you give some of those a try in the meantime.

Happy Cooking, it really CAN be fun! 😉

    • I’m looking forward to trying the soups in this book really soon, since our weather is “thinking” about getting a slight bit cooler. Normally, it’s just too hot for me to enjoy soup or chili, but in the cooler months, I make up for it. And I do like lots of veggies in my soup…along with my chicken, of course! 😀 Okay, I know your recipes don’t have the chicken part, but I bet they are still pretty darn tasty.
