The Literary Cat #1

“I am the Cat who walks by himself, and all places are alike to me.”

–Rudyard Kipling, The Cat Who Walked By Himself

NOTE: Harry thinks the bookshelves over my desk are the perfect place to walk–and to lie down–by himself. Perfect for surveying his Kingdom.  And for taking afternoon naps, far away from the riffraff, namely the dachshunds, below.

A very handsome literary cat! I just started a blog which features my cat (although she’s more medieval than literary). Anyway have a look 🙂 http://catplusgreenthings.wordpress.com/2013/02/06/welcome-cat-friends-plant-lovers-and-queer-folk/

    • Thank you, Francois. Harry’s a pretty nice boy, for a kitten found in the woodpile in our backyard. We actually have four cats, and the two dachshunds, but Harry is kind of special. I will definitely check out your cat, too. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Check back when you can. I will be featuring more “Literary Cats” quotes as I find ones I like.

Thanks again for all the helpful comments. I can’t wait for more “Literary cats” posts and more pics of Harry and the other cats 🙂

        • You’re welcome. I’m glad I had a few minutes to visit your blog today, and I will definitely be checking it out in the future, too. I’ll post more kitty pics, for sure. (I take it you have little interest in Literary Dachshunds? Well, that’s okay…they don’t have much interest in it, either.)
          😀
