Bookin' It

So Many Books. So Little Time. Let's Review!

Today is a milestone for Bookin’ It.  As of right now, there are 100 people following this blog.  Now in the Blogosphere, that’s not very many, but I’m thrilled.  I never set out to pull in thousands of readers.  In the same way that I like small towns better than big cities, I would prefer to have a smaller group of possibly more loyal followers whose names I recognize when they make comments on my posts.  (Heck, I figured it would probably be only my friends and family stopping by.) I did want my blog to grow, but within reason, and to me, that means maybe a couple hundred followers at some future point.  I noticed a couple of days ago that the number had grown to 96, and I thought what a nice Christmas present it would be to reach three digits before December 25.  And voila!  Here we are!

Thank you to everyone who has started following me, and to all who have “Liked” or commented on my posts.  I really enjoy having the opportunity to talk books with so many fellow readers, whether we all like the same ones or not.  This has been so much fun, and it is what inspired me to try my hand at writing my own book, after all these many, many years.  That, in turn, has been an amazing learning process.  Most of you know, I’m no spring chicken, but I believe that one of the biggest secrets to staying young is to continue to learn something new every day.  For me, blogging and creative writing are wonderful ways to do just that.  Of course, none of my gray hair or wrinkles have disappeared, but my heart feels younger all the time.

Thanks for helping me reach this milestone and for making my life richer and more enjoyable every day.

Happy Roads!
