  1. Are you going to see the new Hitchcock movie? I want to because Anthony Hopkins is so good, but I am a little scared.

    • I don’t know, Alice. I seldom see movies in the theater any more because my hearing is not good, and I miss most of the dialog. I’d rather watch them on my big screen with closed captioning, usually. I don’t think this one sounds like it will be flattering to Hitchcock, and that’s kind of sad. He was such a genius at what he did, but perhaps like many geniuses (genii? *grin*) maybe not so nice to work with. Perhaps I’ll leave well enough alone until the DVD, and that way, I’ll see what others think. No disrespect to Hopkins who is a wonderful actor…but I don’t always like his movies. Some have been big favorites of mine, and others, not so much so. (Silence of the Lambs and the sequel come to mind, shudder). So…I guess, like you, I’m hesitant.

(BTW, my dislike of Silence had nothing to do with anyone’s performance. I just find the whole story to be disgusting, and making Hannibal Lecter some kind of hero is very distasteful to me. I like my monsters to be of the NON-real Life variety. Serial killers make me ill.)

A long answer to a short question…but then, you knew it would be, didn’t ya?
