Bookin' It

So Many Books. So Little Time. Let's Review!

Time Flies!

Just a quick post to let you guys know that I really haven’t fallen off the earth.  Some of you are aware that I am writing a book.  You’re never too old, you know.  After all, as my husband says, 60 is the new 20! By that reckoning, I’m only 28!!  😀

Well, the long and short of it is that I’ve been spending a lot of time writing, and not nearly as much time reading and posting as I’d like.  I’m going to try to do better this week, as I dig back into my To Be Read basket.  I have a ton of good books there.  I just need more hours in my day.  Where is a time-manipulating wizard when you need one?  Or maybe I need to find that ever-popular rift in the space-time continuum?  Well, somehow, someway, I will find time to do everything I want to do.  Or at least a goodly portion thereof.  And just to get things started, I will have a new review going up later tonight.

Don’t give up on me!

  1. If you figure out a way to add a few extra hours to the day, please please let me know. 🙂

    • Hiya, SC! Good to see you here. I’m workin’ on it. I’m now trying every trick I’ve learned from my fascination with Urban Fantasy: I’ve got a spell circle incised into my ceramic tile flooring, a la Harry Dresden, much to Mark’s dismay I might add. I’ve gathered together all of my Rachel Morgan knock-off spell pots, for cooking up concoctions that might alter time in some Post Turn fashion. I’m wearing a big pointy hat and long, jabby fingernails I stole from the Wicked Witch of the West, along with her hourglass and a few mind-altering poppies. Maybe I can at least make us THINK we’ve found more time?? One of these methods simply must do the trick. I’ll keep ya posted!

  2. I’ve always wished that I could clone myself, so many things I want to do and get done, but not enough time or too caught up in something. Good luck writing your book! 🙂

    • Oooh, cloning oneself makes me think of that Michael Keaton movie, Multiplicity. Every extra clone he made of himself got a little bit weirder, like trying to xerox too many copies. I’m not sure I’ll try it. I have enough trouble keeping ONE of me functioning properly. A blurry copy could be pretty disturbing!

I just have to learn to manage my time better. Workin’ on that, too. (See reply above)

Thanks for stopping by, Jennifer. I’m gonna go write a new review now.

  4. Hope the muses are kind and your fingers and voice hold up!

  5. Thanks, Alice! Both are doing fairly well right now. I’ve been being careful not to type for too long at one time, and that helps greatly. Nice to see you today!
