So Many Books. So Little Time. Let's Review!

An Award! How Exciting!

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

As a pretty new blogger, I can’t tell you how excited I was to receive my first blogging award! I was nominated for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award by Sharechair, already one of my favorite bloggers.  I’ve mentioned Sharechair’s blog before, in talking about the new Paperwhite Kindle, but there’s so much more to learn there.  I hope you’ll stop by and check out her very informative posts, especially if you are sometimes confused by a lot of today’s technology.  (Don’t forget to check out the other blogs Sharechair nominated, as well.  Some good stuff there!)

Thank you, SC, for your nomination.  I appreciate it greatly!

~~~
The rules for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award are:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.  (You ROCK, Sharechair!)
2. Attach the Award to your site. (Looking for a permanent home for it as soon as I finish posting this.)
3. Share seven random things about yourself.  Here goes:
     (1.)  I have the world’s funniest granddaughter, and another grandbaby on the way.  Both were a long time coming, and will always be much adored!
    ( 2.)  I love hiking, camping, and canoeing, though I haven’t done any of the above in a couple of years.  I hope to rectify that soon.
    ( 3.)  I’m an ardent birdwatcher, and I used to hand raise parrots, once owning 47  pet birds, myself.  (Can we say OCD, boys and girls?)
     (4.) In spite of fact #3, I have always had a houseful of cats.  We are down to just 4 right now, but you never know when that might change.  The dachshunds are louder,   but the cats RULE.
     (5.)   I love to laugh.  A lot.  No, seriously.  (Is that an oxymoron, like “seriously funny?” Or just a contradiction in terms?)  I REALLY love to laugh, especially if it includes making someone else laugh, too.
     (6.)  In an attempt to prove that it is never too late to pursue a dream, I’m writing a book.  Eeep.  (68 IS the new 28, right???)
     (7.)  I love snakes.  This is NOT an attempt to demonstrate fact #5. I could easily have decided to become a herpetologist.  Except for those bits about going to school so long, and studying like crazy, and then trying to figure out exactly how herpetologists make an actual living.
4. Nominate 15 blogs. Let them know that they have been nominated and how to accept the award.
Wow, there are so many great blogs out there, how do I narrow it down to a mere fifteen?  Well, here goes.  The following are blogs I really enjoy and stop by often, for various reasons, ranging from humor to inspiration, to beautiful photography,  to being very informative places to go to learn new stuff.  Hope you’ll check them out!
  2. Hi, SC! You deserved every kind word. Your blog rocks! And yep. I love my snakey guys. I’m always happy when I see one of my resident black racers slipping through my garden.
    Thanks again for the award. It made my day. Heck, my whole WEEK!
  3. Thanks for nominating me! I’ll get right on that… as soon as I can winnow down my list of blogs to nominate in turn.
    I can’t imagine trusting any of my cats around birds–not even plants that ought to be out of reach are safe around them.
  4. Plants don’t bite back, Caitlin! *grin* Of course, my birds were carefully guarded and kept in mostly cat free cages in cat free areas. But accidents can happen, so it requires some vigilance, for sure.
    Take your time! It took me several days, myself.
