Blogs I Love A Lot

~Check These Out~

Just wanted to share a couple of my favorite blogs with you guys today.  Since we are all readers, I figured some of you might enjoy these as much as I do, if you haven’t already found them on your own.  Yeah, I know there’s a list of blogs I follow down towards the bottom of this page, but every now and then, I’d like to pass along some that really stand out from the pack, for your general viewing  and reading pleasure.   I’ll try to do this now and then, when I find something too good to keep to myself.  Hope you will check them out.

Backyard Biology

Sue not only takes very nice photos, she follows through with tons of good information on her subject matter.  If you spend a few minutes going through her archives, you will find loads of plants, animals, and scenery to satisfy your urge for Computer Chair Travel (which has obviously taken the place of Armchair Travel for most of us).  I like to learn something new every day, and when I visit Sue’s blog, I always do.  If you love nature and wildlife, drop by for a visit.

23 Thorns

In addition to learning something new every day, I like to make sure I laugh each day.  In fact, as often throughout the day as possible.  It’s good for the heart and the soul, you know.  And I haven’t found a blog anywhere with writing as funny as this.  Mr. 23 Thorns (I have to call him that, as I haven’t actually seen his name anywhere) is a very, very funny man.  He also takes a lot of interesting photos from his neighborhood, which apparently is smack dab in the middle of a lot of African wildlife.  His adventures when he takes his children for a walk in the park would be roughly akin to going on a safari for most of us.  Who knew that Johannesburg is barely holding back the beasts at the gate?  Okay, maybe not beasts in the frightening, I’m going to eat you for dinner sense of the word.  But blesboks and dassies, at least.  Don’t know about you, but I haven’t seen a one of those at any of MY nearby parks.  (Alligators, yes, but blesboks, not so much so.)  When you find yourself in need of a quick laugh, I highly recommend stopping by to see what 23 is up to.  No matter what archival link you click on, you’re sure to find something really funny to read.

And there you have it.  Be sure to let these two great bloggers know you have visited and like their posts.  A comment or two would make them feel great, as well.  Have fun!

  2. You are certainly welcome, 23. (Hope it’s okay to call you by your first name?) I don’t yet have the readership you do, but I figure every new person counts, right? Hope this has sent some new ones your way!
