Bookin' It

So Many Books. So Little Time. Let's Review!

Woohooo! New Books A-Comin’!!!

Clay & Susan Griffith's The Kingmakers Cover

Nothing feels better than ordering new books, except actually receiving them, of course.  But the anticipation of  knowing I have a box coming from amazon.com is one of the best feelings, ever!  And I’ve been looking forward to the release dates of these books for a long time, too.  All five of them!  What has me so excited, you may ask?  I’ll tell you.  In fact, I’ll tell you, even if you don’t ask!  I have to share my excitement with someone!

I have pre-ordered the following, and expect to receive them some time shortly after September 4:

Under My Hat: Tales From The Cauldron by Jonathan Strahan – Official Release Date: 8/28/12

Ashes of Honor by Seanan McGuire ( Toby Daye book) – Official Release Date: 9/4/12

Monster Hunters Legion by Larry Correia – Official Release Date: 9/4/12

An Apple for the Creature by Charlaine Harris & Toni L. P. Kelner – Official Release Date: 9/4/12

The Kingmakers (Vampire Empire Book 3) by Clay & Susan Griffith – Official Release Date: 9/4/12 (but already available at amazon.com)

Wow!  Five new Urban Fantasy books coming at one time.  Be still, my heart!  Two of the books (“An Apple for the Creature” & “Under My Hat”) are anthologies.  Both have stories from many of today’s best and most popular Urban Fantasy writers.  The rest of the books are continuations of ongoing series, with “The Kingmakers” being the final installment in the Vampire Empire series.  Anyone following the Greyfriar’s adventures will want to read that, I’m sure.  And fans of  Seanan McGuire and Larry Correia will be happy to find out what’s new in those worlds, too.  Check ’em out!  If you love Urban Fantasy, there’s bound to be at least one you can’t live without!

For your viewing pleasure!

    Ordering books is definitely fun!

By the way, if you want to get a few extra cents to put toward buying more books, you can sign up with Amazon’s affiliate program. Then when you link to the book on your website and someone follows your link and buys it, you get 4-8% of the sale price. https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/. No reason I can think of not to do it if you’re going to be linking to books on Amazon anyway!

  2. Hi, Anna! Almost didn’t recognize your username! You know, I’ve never linked to amazon before, and wasn’t even sure it was okay to do so. I normally link to the appropriate Review Page at GoodReads. I will definitely look into the affiliate program. I’m happy to promote sales of books through amazon, as I use them myself, as often as I hit the local stores, and have always been happy with both price and service. I’m really glad you told me about this. Thanks a million! Hope you enjoy looking around.

Hi Marcia! As a fellow follower of Seanan Mcguire’s “October Daye” series, lol, i have to confess that i’m desperately waiting for Toby’s new adventures. In fact i’ve already pre-ordered it. Now that’s a story, that i expect to “devour”. 🙂

  4. Oh, you and me, both, Susana! I do love that series! And I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping to see LOTS of Tybalt in this book. If not, I’m going to be somewhat disappointed, even if it IS a good book. I want MORE TYBALT!!!!

  6. Yes it does. It officially came into being when Seanan McGuire created Tybalt! Hehe.

  8. Actually, it really IS a word, Susana, so don’t worry about using it. It just gets used a lot for things like…TYBALT! 😉

Thank you for helping me on this, it was thinking _ as you read-_ just the opposite. 🙂
And since it didn’t appear onmy battered version of Longman dictionary _ my fateful knight in shinning armor for desperate times _ i was kind of clueless on this one!

  10. You are welcome. You may hereby go on thinking of Tybalt in all his awesomeness, and know you are grammatically correct, too. Oh, Tybalt. Meow. *happy sigh*
