The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
MY RATING: 3 of 5 Stars
A deliciously creepy little story, easily read in one night, and filled with a more interesting than usual array of sympathetic characters. A weird variation on the changeling theme, it pulled me right in, from the wicked cover to the darkness lurking in the heart of this town. I liked the sense of isolation felt by our lonely hero, and the determined way he fought to stay connected to the human world.
Worth the read.

This story seems really interesting. Thank you, Marcia, i’m going to add it to my to-read list.
Now the changeling theme reminds me of a book by Juliet Marillier that i read a couple years back. The book is called “Heir of Sevenwaters”. In my opinion one of the best of the “Sevenwaters” series, alongside with the first two books.

You’re welcome, Anna. It’s kind of fun, and a quick and easy read. A nice break between weightier tomes. I will check out “Heir of Sevenwaters.” Thanks for the recommendation. I’m not familiar with it at all. This is one of the reasons I’m enjoying blogging so much. I’m learning new stuff, finding new books to read, seeing old friends, and meeting interesting new people. It’s great!
